A belt isn't just a practical accessory; it completes your outfit. But how do you choose the right size? Many people buy belts that are too long or too short simply because they don't understand the sizing chart. In this blog post, we'll explain step-by-step how to choose the perfect belt size and how our sizing works.

How do our belt sizes work?

Our belt sizes – 100, 110, 120, and 130 – indicate the total length of the belt, measured from the very end of the leather to the beginning of the buckle. This means the size corresponds to the full length of the leather portion of the belt, excluding the buckle.

This gives you some room to wear the belt tighter or looser.

Note: The measurement provided is not the distance to the center hole, but the full length of the leather piece . Measure your waist or hip circumference (where you wear the belt) and choose the closest size for the best fit.

How to choose your size

There are two ways to determine your perfect belt size:

  1. Measure a well-fitting belt

Already have a favorite belt? Then measure the total length of the leather piece —from the very end of the belt to the beginning of the buckle (not including the buckle itself). For example, if you get a length of 110 cm, then size 110 is perfect for you.

  1. Use your pant size as a guideline

Don't have a belt handy? Then use your current jeans size (waist measurement in cm or clothing size) as a starting point. In the table below, we link standard pants sizes to our belt sizes based on the total length of the belt .

Belt size chart – find your perfect size

Belt size Trouser size Waist circumference (cm) Clothing size
100 26 – 32 up to 95 cm XS / M
110 32 – 36 up to 105 cm M / L
120 36 – 38 up to 115 cm L / XL
130 38+ up to 125 cm XXL+

Tips for choosing a belt

  • Are you between two sizes? Choose the larger size. A slightly longer belt looks better than one that's too short.

  • Do you wear your belt on your hips instead of your waist? Then measure that area, as it can vary considerably.

  • Are you using the belt with dress trousers or jeans? With jeans, a little more slack is usually nice.
